Today's weather;
There's plenty of blue this morning although white clouds are fighting for supremacy. It looks like a very nice day though and current temp at 7am was 28.7C.
Yesterday was a lovely day, it remained dry and there was plenty of sunshine. Max temp reached 30.5C.

Today's weather;
There's blue in the sky again although it's still partly cloudy. It looks like a much nicer day today with a current temp at 7 am of 25.8C.
Yesterday was another very strange day for April. I went diving around Koh Tao and once we were at Koh Tao the wind and rain raged like there was no tomorrow, the October/November monsoon would've envied the force displayed!
Pretty much all day between 10 am and 3 pm it was raining on Koh Tao and also on Samui.
The weekend should be nice but there's more strong wind and rain predicted for next week including some thunderstorms!

Today's weather;
It looks a lot nice this morning compared to yesterday, there's still heavy cloud coverage, but the clouds are white today and the storm like winds have disappeared.
Yesterday was a nasty day, extremely strong wind bursts accompanied with lots of rain were raging at times. It felt like a rainy season day in October or November. Nothing near what it should be like during April, extremely unusual. Max temp was still in the lower thirties.

More Phuket Bloggers
If you search hard enough around the internet or dig deeper into Google, you may find that Jamie's Phuket is not the only blog about Phuket or written by someone in Phuket. I keep an eye on some other people's blogs looking for different angles on Phuket, something I have not seen or thought of blogging about. Everyone has a different point of view, though I'd say all the blogs and bloggers listed below have one thing in common - all are Phuket lovers!
Although Jamie's Phuket (that's this blog) is my main blog, I keep several others which are updated with varying degrees of diligency. The Phuket Weather Blog is kept updated at least weekly, reporting on weather and local news, normally with photos that show the weather. There are lots of links to other useful weather sites too. It actually gets more visitors than Jamie's Phuket! A lot of people search for weather information and the Phuket weather blog always sits in the top 3 for a Google "Phuket Weather" search.
I have a couple of others - We Love Phuket has a fair amount of information on things like cheap places to stay in Phuket and how to get to Phuket. I've not updated it for a long time. Another blog is Monk in Thailand, which mentions such diverse subjects as Darth Vader, Ladyboys or how to pronounce Phuket. The Phuket Photo Blog I try to add some favourite photos now and then. Just photos, without too many words to get in the way. The Phuket hotels blog is all about hotels and where to book them online.
So, what about other people? These are some blogs I can recommend for Phuket information - and this is "blog" information rather than tour guide information (you know, always sunny, everyone smiles, Phuket is the pearl of Thailand yada yada). Blogs are becoming quite important to travel - you can get a locals point of view and check out other travelers reports too. Here are some recommended blogs. Some are updated more often than others.
• Tim in Phuket - Tim is a hotel manager and (like me) enjoys the local side of Phuket life.
• Cathy and Gary - They don't live here, but often visit Phuket. Their site has loads of information.
• Willy in Phuket - Willy has actually been here longer than me and he takes very nice photos too!
• Lisa in Phuket - She and her husband are teachers at an international school.
• Alasdairs Blog - Al is an old Phuket hand, lots of stories to tell.
• Matt's Phuket - Not updated much, but Matt likes to explore the back roads.
• Jim in Phuket - Almost my mirror image - married, 2 kids, living in Phuket, guess we'll meet for a beer one day! (not updated since 2009)
• Lana in Phuket - Lana is also married with 2 kids, but she's a mum. (not updated since 2009)
• Glenn in Phuket - Glenn hikes, plays guitar and sells thermal clothing online! I did a (hard) hike with him in 2009.

Today's weather;
Well, today's weather sees everything upside down. There's some serious grey overcast and this early morning, before 6 am saw lots of hard rain. At 7 am it was only 24.5C, which is nice and cool but very untypical for this time of the year. The forecast for the upcoming week isn't that great neither, a nice weekend and than full on rain and wind again for a couple of days.
During the night and in the early there where power cuts, hence my blog being so late!
Yesterday started out with lots of rain in the morning which ceased during the the afternoon. Max temp reached 30.2C. A total of 59.2mm of rain fell!

Innovative Items
I have my lunch today at one of the food court at Tampoi (beside Giant Hypermart). Just a normal food court, but suddenly I was amaze with the swinging disc (hanging on top of the foods) for chasing away the fly! The disc will non-stop swinging because of the wind from surrounding.
What an innovative idea!
Without spending a single cent, you can have the same effect like those motorize type.
I am thinking that......what if most of us having the same concept and mentality, protecting our 'environment' & green the Earth should not have any problem at all!

Today's weather;
It's cloudy this morning but already very warm at 7 am with a 29.5C reading of the quicksilver.
