Dessert Shop at Jiufen Old Street, Taiwan

We had a rest at this Dessert Shop after we back to Jiufen Old Street. The shop was just located on the right of the Old Street entrance.

There were many choices and we just took the signature dessert of the shop. That was the yam ball, bean curd and syrup flavored with ginger. (TWD40 each)

I ordered the cold type to ease the thirst from the climbing up and down...:)

The lady boss was nice and friendly and the shop was simple and clean. The dessert served on our table less than 10 minutes...

The dessert was nice and satisfied, the tasty yam balls was soft same as others...

There were many stalls selling the same dessert along the street and we cannot judge which is the best...

I cannot comment more on it because this was the Only shop we tasted.

Overall, all of us satisfied! After the dessert we will going to Taipei and leave this beautiful and peaceful small town. Well, I like this small town and I will be back!

Wang Hai Tin Seafood Restaurant (望海亭海鲜餐馆) at Yeh Liu (野柳), Taiwan

After about an hour+ drove from Taipei, we reached Yeh Liu (野柳). Well, our purpose was to visit the Famous Yeh Liu Geopark. But before that, we had our lunch in this Wang Hai Tin Seafood Restaurant (望海亭海鲜餐馆) (N25.20421 E121.69038) which is not far away from the Geopark.

Our seafood lunch had been pre-arrange and once we stepped in, the restaurant started to prepare our meals...

Ok, these were what we had...

Cabbage

Steam prawns with Wasabi (ワサビ（山葵)

Steam Fish. It was Fresh!

Lobster

Overall, the foods were Fantastic! I like almost every dishes on the table. Especially the fish, sea snails and the steam prawn with Wasabi (First time tasted). We really enjoy our lunch and we took almost 2 hours to finished it. :)

As I noticed the price tag on the tank outside the restaurant, seems like the prices of the seafoods here are very reasonable and affordable!

Verdict : 4.5/5 (overall)

Do drop by the restaurant if you are happen to be around.

Shilin Food Court and Night Market (士林夜市) at Taipei, Taiwan

This was my second visit to the Shilin Night Market (N25.08591 E121.52440). Still the same procedure, having our dinner at the food court before the night market shopping. But the night was raining and we hope it will stop after our dinner...

Once we stepped into the food court, it was so crowded and difficult to find a table...after waiting for about 10 minutes, we found one 'mini table'! No choice, the only table around the food court...

The advantage of this Shilin Food Court is...there have all the famous street foods here! Plenty of choices...

Actually I wanted to try it, but changed my mind after look at the Looooong queue...then I decided to try my favorite Pork Belly pepper soup stall which I visited 4 years ago...

We ordered all different foods and that was the only way we can taste as many foods as possible...

Overall, I like the pork belly soup, beef and the squids. The rest were just average...

We took our sweet time for the dinner but the rain still heavy down poured even we finished our meals! We try to walked in the night market during the rain...but...the weather seems like against us!

So we decided to visit the night market again on the next day after our dinner. Below photos are taken on our next day visit to Shilin Night Market...

There were nothing much in the night market, I couldn't find anything to buy for my wife and daughter. And just for the sake of walking...because it was my friend's first visit.

There was another Chicken Chop stall in the night market which was branches of the stall at the food court.

If you really want to do your shopping, you can walk around the night market for more than 4 hours or more, the night market is huge! But we were just wanted to explore the area...
After hanged around the area for about 1-2 hours then took a cab back to hotel for rest.

Xin Tian Yuan Restaurant (新田园) at Taichung, Taiwan

After we left Sun Moon Lake and drove passed Taichung, we simply stop by this restaurant for our lunch...cause we were starving...!
The Xin Tian Yuan Restaurant (新田园) (N23.90334 E120.92783) is just located at one of the intersection of YuChi street.

The restaurant was empty when we visited, I guess because the lunch time had over...our driver heard the drum's sound of our stomach and ordered for us Immediately!

The restaurant had very simple setup, no fancy decoration and without air-conditional.
Luckily, the foods served on our table very fast! Everyone just enjoy the foods silently...:)

All foods were nice and tasty! We like the cooking method of Taiwan very much because they won't cook it too oily! Especially the Unexpected nice and simple fried rice! Yes...we had it Double! All of us satisfied with the foods! Thumbs Up!

If you visit this restaurant, you cannot miss the Fried Rice!

Once we finished our lunch, we said bye-bye to Taichung...and continue our journey...

Ah Yong Restaurant at Shuishe, Sun Moon Lake - Taiwan

Ah Yong Restaurant (N23.86494 E120.91155) is located along the street at Shuishe town. We were bought to this restaurant by our driver (Mr Yew) and all dishes are serve and cook in Ita Thao's recipes. Ita Thao is one of the Taiwanese Aborigines, we visited their village in the next day and I will blog about it later...

Ah Yong Restaurant

The restaurant is Famous with the fish below...

I don't know how to call it in English...

All dishes were ordered by our driver, and served on table very fast!
Before we start our dinner, the lady boss came to introduced every dishes from the restaurant...and she claimed that the fish (below) are only available in this restaurant, we can't get elsewhere in the whole of Taiwan! Really?!

All dishes were Delicious and I like it very much! Especially the fish, steam chicken and the pork knuckles! All of us satisfied with the Special recipes of Ita Thao and I MISS the taste Very Much!

If I will have a chance to visit Sun Moon Lake again, I will DEFINITELY dine in Ah Yong Restaurant!
