Wang Hai Tin Seafood Restaurant (望海亭海鲜餐馆) at Yeh Liu (野柳), Taiwan

After about an hour+ drove from Taipei, we reached Yeh Liu (野柳). Well, our purpose was to visit the Famous Yeh Liu Geopark. But before that, we had our lunch in this Wang Hai Tin Seafood Restaurant (望海亭海鲜餐馆) (N25.20421 E121.69038) which is not far away from the Geopark.

Live seafood...

I was attracted by some 'Giant' around the corner...

Giant crab!

Giant sea snail, big?

Our seafood lunch had been pre-arrange and once we stepped in, the restaurant started to prepare our meals...

The internal decoration of Wang Hai Tin Seafood Restaurant. Clean!

Ok, these were what we had...

Cabbage

Cucumber and squids

Sea snails

Steam prawns with Wasabi (ワサビ(山葵)

Steam Fish. It was Fresh!

Lobster

Overall, the foods were Fantastic! I like almost every dishes on the table. Especially the fish, sea snails and the steam prawn with Wasabi (First time tasted). We really enjoy our lunch and we took almost 2 hours to finished it. :)

As I noticed the price tag on the tank outside the restaurant, seems like the prices of the seafoods here are very reasonable and affordable!

Verdict : 4.5/5 (overall)

Do drop by the restaurant if you are happen to be around.

The J & J Corner Portuguese Seafood Restaurant (N2 10.986 E102 15.990) is located in the Portuguese Settlement of Malacca. This was our second visit to the restaurant. The reason was because of the Portuguese Baked Fish!

The Damage was about MYR90.00 for 2 adults.

Beside the cool sea breeze, we were also company by a group of Portuguese children where they sang all the Christmas Corals to fill the Christmas atmosphere for the whole Portuguese Seafood Village! We were really enjoyed the cheerful and peaceful moment at the area, and this was One of our Wonderful Christmas dinner!

We continued to walk at the Portuguese Settlement to capture some X'mas atmosphere from the village after our dinner...

Well, we will plan again on next Christmas. :)

2nd Visit to Jade Garden Corner Seafood Restaurant at Sungai Rengit, Johor.

We had our dinner at Jade Garden Corner Seafood Restaurant again at Sungai Rengit, Johor (This was our second visit, you can read our first visit here). The distance from The Pulai Desaru Resort to this seafood restaurant is about 32KM, the journey took about 30 minutes relax drive from the resort. (I would like to correct the restaurant is actually located at Jalan Kerisi of Sungai Rengit. Not Jalan Hee Seng in my first post, apologies.)

There was only 2 tables occupied when we arrived, the time was around 6.30pm. This restaurant will be really crowded when dinner time around 8pm during weekend, so if you wanna visit it, it's advise to come early.

I snapped some photos of the Lobsters in the tanks...before they....

1)  Mixed vegetables
2)  Omelette
3)  Butter Prawns
4)  Jade Special Lobster (Signature dish)

Mixed vegetables

There were total of 3 baby lobsters and each of them cut it became 2. All foods were satisfied! Seems like better than our previous visit! The lobsters still as Delicious as we had it before, the omelette was nice, the vegetable was tasty and the prawns were really fresh! We had a memorable dinner at this restaurant!

The Damage was MYR217.00 include 4 bottles of Tiger Beer and others drinks. (For 4 adults and 1 child)

Hong Ming Food Services (N1 34.424 E103 46.011) is located in the middle of  Jalan Setia 9/17 of Taman Setia Indah, Johor Bahru. From the name of the restaurant, I believe they were started from food catering services (correct me if I'm wrong).

Hong  Ming Food Services at Taman Setia Indah, Johor Bahru

As I understand, they are famous with their Honey Crab.
we visited the restaurant on a Saturday night around 8pm, the restaurant was Full of customers!

Indoor area
Outdoor area
There were outdoor and indoor to cater different kind of customers. I would prefer indoor because I need the light for food photography. Both areas were Packed!

We placed our order once we got our table...

Our foods order :-
1)  Brinjal mixed with Petai Bean (Parkia speciosa or stink bean) and other vegetables.
2)  Spicy Clam
3)  Honey Crab (Signature Dish)

Brinjal mixed with Petai Bean and other vegetables

Spicy Clam

Honey Crab of Hong Ming Food Services

The first and second dishes served on our table with white rice, but we gonna wait for the Crabs....the funny part was, we waited the Crabs until we finished Everything on the table and Still no sign of it! The lady boss Keep on saying that the Crabs will be serve at the last?! That puzzled us! After everything finished, the LAST dish should serve on the table, right? (I don't wanna comment on their bad management)
We continue to wait for another 20 minutes...at last, the Crabs appeared! We had to taste the crabs without the rice....

Overall, the dishes were Excellent! Thumbs Up for the three dishes! We like the 2 Big crabs! But...bear in mind, you gotta be very patient and wait for it! We (2 adults & 1 child) spend 1 hour 30 minutes for our dinner, it was TOO long!

The Damage : MYR79.00 for 2 adults and 1 child. Reasonable price. But we put them at the last of our Seafood list because of the Crabs take too long to Appear! (Waiting time is too long!)

J & J Corner Portuguese Seafood Restaurant at Portuguese Village, Malacca

The Portuguese Village (Settlement) (N2 10.986 E102 15.990) is famous with their Seafood Restaurant and we heard about it long time ago, till that day after we left Port Dickson...we decided to having our Seafood dinner and watch the beautiful sunset.

The row of Portuguese Seafood Restaurant at Portuguese Village

When reached the Portuguese Settlement around 5pm, just nice for us to walked around...friends told me before to choose the end unit of that row of restaurant. But there are 2 end lot units, so we only can judge by the customer to decide which shop to dine in.

Many visitors on the evening

There was a jetty in front of the restaurants. It's actually quite a nice place over here especially the cool breeze...
Too bad it was cloudy when we were there, otherwise it will be perfect place for sunset photography!

The Jetty

Another view of the restaurants

When getting dark, we just noticed at one of the corner of the restaurant was packed with customers. The name of the restaurant was J and J Corner Portuguese Seafood Restaurant. The crowded customers gave us confident to dine in this restaurant.

It was crowded!

After waiting about 10 minutes, we finally got our table. Waste No Time, order the foods immediately!

Our order :-
1)  Butter Garlic Crab (Portuguese Special)
2)  Portuguese Baked Fish
3)  Brinjal with sambal (Portuguese Special)
4)  Sweet and Sour Squid (Portuguese cook)

Portuguese Special Butter Garlic Crab

Portuguese Special Baked Fish

Portuguese Special - Brinjal cooked with sambal

Sweet and Sour Squid

Maybe because of TOO many customers, we had to wait for an hour before the foods serve!! You gotta be very patient! Haha! Fortunately, while waiting for our foods, we enjoyed the Famous Mango Ice drink from the stall beside the restaurant.(N02 11.001 E102 15.961) It was nice!

The Mango Ice Stall

They serve the drink Non Stop from 6pm till finished

It cost MYR2.50 per cup. MYR3.50 without ice

Overall we enjoyed the food. The special Portuguese taste was really impressed me! The crab and fish was fresh and delicious! The Brinjal was tasty! Only the squid was average, nothing special...
We were amazed by the Portuguese Seafood of this restaurant.

The Damage : MYR87.00 for 4 adults and one child. (Excluding the drinks)
The price was reasonable.
