Two Visita Iglesia Routes

Filipino Catholic observance of the Holy Week would never be complete without the traditional Visita Iglesia. And so Lagalag recommends these seven churches to visit during Visita Iglesia. The churches' proximity to each other as well as the common route for both public and private vehicles from which they are situated make the "Church Visits" more solemn as the travel from one church to another is not complicated whether by foot or by car and jeepney.

Our Visita Iglesia involves the following Churches: Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene also known as Quiapo Church, Manila Cathedral, San Agustin Church, Ermita Shrine, Our Lady Of Remedies Parish also known as Malate Church, Our Lady Of Sorrows, and Redemptorist Church also known as Our Mother of Perpetual Help Shrine.

Our Visita Iglesia has two routes - South to North and Vice Versa.

South to North route starts in Redemptorist Church in Baclaran and ends up in Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo.
North to South route starts in Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo and ends up in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Shrine also known as Redemptorist Church in Baclaran.

South to North

First Church - Redemptorist Church

Redemptorist Church, most commontly known as Our Mother of Perpetual Help Shrine, is located at the corner of Roxas Boulevard and Redemptorist Road in Baclaran. You can get here by car via Roxas Boulevard. A lot of jeepneys and buses ply the route that pass by Redemptorist Church.

Second Church - Our Lady of Sorrows

Located approximately 2 kilometers from Redemptorist Church. Situated along Harrison Street in Pasay City, between OWWA Building and TAILEE Building. This church is just opposite San Luis Street. By foot, you can get to Our Lady Of Sorrows from Redemptorist Church via north bound Roxas Boulevard. Walk along Roxas Boulevard northward, cross EDSA and Arnaiz Avenue formerly Libertad. Turn right on the fourth street from Arnaiz. That street is San Luis. At the opposite end is Our Lady of Sorrows.

By car, take Roxas Boulevard north bound lane, cross EDSA via flyover and Arnaiz Avenue aka Libertad Street. After crossing Arnaiz Avenue intersection, take the north bound service road and turn right onto the third street from Arnaiz which is Sta Escolastica Street. Then turn left on Harrison Street until you get to Our Lady of Sorrows to your right.

By jeepney, you can get there by riding a jeepney with any of these signs: "Mabini", "Quiapo", "Monumento", "Cubao" and "Divisoria". You need to get to Ortigas Street corner Roxas Boulevard to take a jeepney. Walk northward along Roxas Boulevard past McDonald's until you get to Ortigas Street.

Third Church - Our Lady Of Remedies Parish

Located opposite Rajah Sulayman Park which is situated along Roxas Boulevard in Malate, approximately 2 kilometers from Our Lady of Sorrows. By foot, you can get there from Our Lady Of Sorrows by taking San Luis Street, turn right on Roxas Boulevard and walk along Roxas Boulevard northward. Cross Gil Puyat Avenue, P. Ocampo, and Quirino Avenue until you get to Aristocrat Restaurant. Turn right onto the road that borders Aristocrat until you get to Our Lady Of Remedies Parish.

By car, you can get to this church from Our Lady Of Sorrows by taking Roxas Boulevard northbound lane. You can get to Roxas Boulevard from Our Lady of Sorrows via San Luis Street, the road opposite the church. Cross Gil Puyat Avenue via the flyover, P. Ocampo and Quirino Avenue. After Quirino Avenue, watch out for Aristocrat Restaurant to your right. Turn right on the street that borders Aristocrat Restaurant until you see the church. Park your car at available space in the area.

By jeepney, you can get to this church by riding jeep with any of these signs: "Quiapo", "Divisoria", "Monumento" and "Cubao" in front of Our Lady Of Sorrows. Make sure the jeep passes through Mabini. Ask driver to drop you off at Remedios Street where Our Lady Of Remedies Parish is located.

Fourth Church - Ermita Shrine

Approximately 1.2 kilometer from Our Lady Of Remedies Parish. Located at the corner of Del Pilar and Flores streets in Ermita. By foot, you can walk northward along Del Pilar, the road in front of Our Lady Of Remedies Parish, all the way until you get to Ermita Shrine. You will cross two intersections with traffic lights - Pedro Gil and Padre Faura.

By car, drive along north bound service road of Roxas Boulevard or you can take Roxas Boulevard if you want. Cross Pedro Gil and Padre Faura until you get to Plaza Nuestra Senora De Guia, a small park. You can park your car along the service road and go towards the opposite side of Plaza Nuestra Senora De Guia. Ermita Shrine is situated in the opposite side of Del Pilar facing Plaza Nuestra Senora De Guia.

By jeepney, you can take a ride at the back of Our Lady Of Remedies Parish. This street is Mabini. Get off at Flores Street and walk towards Roxas Boulevard until you get to Del Pilar where this church is located.

Fifth Church - San Agustin Church

Approximately 1.5 kilometer from Ermita Shrine, San Agustin Church is located along General Luna Street in Intramuros. By foot, you can get there by taking Del Pilar northward, turn right onto T.M. Kalaw and turn left on Maria Orosa where a Jollibee is located at the right corner of Kalaw and Orosa. Walk along Orosa past Luneta Park and cross Burgos Street until you get to the entrance of Intramuros. Walk further along General Luna Street until you get to San Agustin Church, located to the left of General Luna.

By car, take Roxas Boulevard. Turn right onto T.M. Kalaw Street and left on Maria Orosa Street. Drive on Maria Orosa past Luneta Park and cross Padre Burgos Street until you get to Intramuros. Road name changes to General Luna. Drive further until you get to San Agustin Church located to the left of General Luna Street.

By jeepney, ride a "Monumento", "Quiapo" or "Divisoria" bound jeep and get off at Padre Burgos. Walk towards Intramuros and take General Luna Street to get to San Agustin Church located to your left.

Sixth Church - Manila Cathedral

Located approximately 365 meters from San Agustin Church at the other end of General Luna Street. Walk along General Luna northward until you get to the church. By car, take General Luna Street and drive northward until you get to the church.

Seventh Church - Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene

Located at Quiapo approximately 1.6 kilometer from Manila Cathedral. By foot, you can get there by taking the main road in front of Manila Cathedral. This road is Andres Soriano Jr Avenue. Turn right from Manila Cathedral to Andres Soriano. Walk further until you exit Intramuros and get to Lawton. Take the road in front of Metropolitan Theater and cross Pasig River via Quezon Bridge until you get to Quiapo. Use Underpass to get to Quiapo Church.

By car, take the same route you took along General Luna Street from Luneta Park until you exit Intramuros. Turn right on Y-intersection next to Intramuros Exit to go with the flow of traffic. Turn left on Padre Burgos and drive all the way to Lawton. Take McArthur Bridge and get to Carriedo. Take Avenida, turn right onto Recto Avenue. Then, turn right again onto Quezon Avenue, drive further until you get to Quiapo Church where you can park your car near church.

By jeepney, you can take a ride in front of Manila Cathedral. Take a jeepney with "Retiro Blumentritt" or "Project 6" sign. Get off at Quiapo.

North to South

First Church - Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene

Located along Quezon Avenue near Quezon Bridge. Most jeepney routes go to Quiapo including from Pasig, Novaliches, Fairview and other locations in Quezon City. Waking distance from Recto where jeepneys from Marikina pass through. There are parking areas designated for private cars located near church along Quezon Avenue. There are also Pay Parking near the church.

Second Church - Manila Cathedral

You can walk to Manila Cathedral from Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo by taking Quezon Bridge, past Post Office until you get to Intramuros. In Intramuros, take Magallanes Drive until you get to Andres Soriano Jr Avenue. Walk along Andres Soriano Jr Avenue until you get to Manila Cathedral located to the left of Andres Soriano Jr Avenue.

By car, take Quezon Bridge and immediately turn right onto the road located at the foot of the bridge. This road is called Muelle Del Rio. Stay on this road and pass through two short tunnels under McArthur Bridge and Jones Bridge. Stay on Muelle Del Rio until you get to Andres Soriano Jr Avenue, the main thoroughfare that runs through Intramuros. Manila Cathedral is to the left of Andres Soriano near northern wall of Intramuros.

By jeepney, you can ride a jeep with "Pier" sign and get off in front of Manila Cathedral.

Third Church - San Agustin Church

Walk from Manila Cathedral to San Agustin Church via General Luna Street which is located to your right if you're facing Manila Cathedral. General Luna Street is between Palacio Del Governador and Manila Cathedral. Walk along General Luna southward until you get to San Agustin Church, to your right.

By car, you can get to San Agustin Church from Manila Cathedral by following the walking direction.

Fourth Church - Ermita Shrine

You can walk to Ermita Shrine by taking General Luna Exit of Intramuros. From San Agustin Church walk further southward along General Luna. Walk across Padre Burgos until you get to Luneta Park. Walk along Maria Orosa Street, the road that passes through Luneta. Turn right onto T.M. Kalaw Street and left on Del Pilar Street. Cross U.N. Avenue until you get to Ermita Shrine, located to the left of Del Pilar.

By car, take General Luna southward until you exit Intramuros. Turn right onto Padre Burgos and left on Roxas Boulevard. Turn left on Kalaw and immediately turn right onto the service road of Roxas Boulevard. Cross U.N. Avenue until you get to Plaza Nuestra Senora De Guia, a small park. You can park your car anywhere in along the service road and walk your way to Ermita Church, located along Del Pilar which is paralleled to Roxas Boulevard.

By jeepney, you can ride outside General Luna Exit of Intramuros. Take a jeepney with "Baclaran" or "Vito Cruz" sign and get off at Ermita Shrine.

Fifth Church - Our Lady Of Remedies Parish

Walk along Del Pilar southward. Cross two intersection with traffic lights - Padre Faura and Pedro Gil. Walk further until you get to Remedios Street where Our Lady Of Remedies Parish is located.

By car, you can get to Our Lady Of Remedies Parish from Plaza Nuestra Senora De Guia by taking the service road of Roxas Boulevard. Drive southward, cross Padre Faura and Pedro Gil until you get to Rajah Sulayman Park where the church is located next to it along Del Pilar Street.

You can get to Our Lady Of Remedies from Plaza Nuestra Senora De Guia by jeepney by riding one with "Baclaran" or "Vito Cruz" sign. Ask driver to drop you off at Malate Church or Remedios.

Sixth Church - Our Lady Of Sorrows

You can walk to Our Lady of Sorrows from Our Lady Of Remedies by taking Del Pilar all the way up to Quirino Avenue and then take Roxas Boulevard. Cross P. Ocampo aka Vito Cruz and take Gil Puyat. From Gil Puyat turn right onto Harrison Street. Walk along Harrison Street until you get to Our Lady Of Sorrows to your left opposite San Luis.

By car, take the service road, cross Padre Faura and Pedro Gil and take Roxas Boulevard from Quirino Avenue. Cross CCP Complex but immediately take the rightmost lane. Turn right onto Gil Puyat Avenue and make a U-Turn to get back to Roxas Boulevard. Cross Roxas Boulevard and turn right onto Harrison Street where Our Lady Of Sorrows is located to the left after OWWA but before the 5-storey building with "TAILEE" sign.

By jeep, you can get to Our Lady Of Sorrow from Malate Church by riding a "Baclaran" bound jeep and ask driver to drop you off at the church.

Seventh Church - Redemptorist Church

Walk along Harrison Street southward all the way to EDSA where you cross it via footbridge. Walk further along Harrison until you get to Baclaran where you turn right on Redemptorist Road (a McDonal's is located at the corner of Redemptorist Road and Harrison Street) until you get to Redemptoriest Church.

From Our Lady Of Sorrows, drive along Harrison Street southward and cross Arnaiz Avenue formerly Libertad. Turn right onto EDSA and make a U-Turn in front of Heritage Hotel. Turn right onto Harrison Street and right again onto Cuneta Avenue, the road next to EDSA. Turn left on service road of Roxas Boulevard to get nearer to Redemptorist Church. You can park your car at McDonald's and walk your way to Redemptorist.

From Our Lady Of Sorrows, you can ride a "Baclaran" bound jeepney and get off at McDonald's branch in Roxas Boulevard Baclaran. From there walk southward until you get to Redemptorist Church.

Driving Directions From Ermita To Quiapo Church

Quiapo is a small district in Manila. Every time one says Quiapo, it always assumed he/she is referring to Quiapo Church as most of the people who come here are devotees of the Black Nazarene.

This is the route to take if you're driving from Ermita and you're going to Quiapo Church and you want to park your car along Quezon Boulevard by the church. This only applies every Friday when parking is allowed along area of Quezon Boulevard just adjacent to Quiapo Church. The best time to go to Quiapo Church on Fridays by car is early morning such as 3 to 6 am when there's no heavy traffic yet.

Depending on your exact location in Ermita, you can take any of these main roads: Roxas Boulevard, Mabini, Maria Orosa Street and Taft Avenue.

Route #1

Drive on Roxas Boulevard toward Luneta or Rizal Park. After crossing T.M. Kalaw, the street that borders Rizal Park to the south, turn right onto Padre Burgos, the street that borders Rizal Park to the north. Stay to the middle of Padre Burgos, cross intersections of Palacio and General Luna, and drive all the way to Lawton where Padre Burgos becomes three main roads. The one to the left is going to Binondo. The one in the middle is going to Carriedo Santa Cruz and the one in the right is going to Quiapo.

You can't pass through the road going to Quiapo because, there's no route going to Quiapo Church which is located to the left of Quezon Boulevard.

Take the one in the middle which is going to Santa Cruz. You will cross Pasig River via Mac Arthur Bridge. Stay to the middle of the road until it turns right onto Carriedo Station of LRT-1. Turn left on Avenida, the road beneath the elevated LRT-1 Station and drive all the way to C.M. Recto Avenue, the main intersection where LRT-2 elevated track passes through over LRT-1.

Turn right onto C.M. Recto Avenue. A big mall, Isetann, is located at the corner of C.M. Recto and Quezon Boulevard Underpass. You will pass through first under the elevated LRT-2 Recto Station before you pass by Isetann Mall, which is to the right of Recto. After passing by Isetann Mall, turn right onto the service road of Quezon Boulevard Underpass. Drive on until you get to the main Quezon Boulevard. Stay to the right of Quezon Boulevard and go straight ahead past the pedestrian overpass. Soon after, you will see Citystate Hotel to the right of Quezon Boulevard. And after that is the Quiapo Church which is next to a BPI bank and a 7-11 convenient store. You can now park your car in any available parking space along Quezon Boulevard just a few steps away from Quiapo Church, assuming that you come on Friday. There's a lot of so called "back up boys" so it wont be hard for you when it's time to leave after the Holy Mass.

I've experienced parking along Quezon Boulevard during ordinary days when I bought some electrical stuffs in Raon. I took the risk of apprehension even if there are road signs of "No Parking" along Quezon Boulevard because a lot of cars were parked too at that time. Even today, everytime I pass by Quezon Boulevard I see a lot of cars parked along Quezon Boulevard although they're far from Quiapo Church. So If you really need to go to Quiapo any time and any day of the week by car, all I can say is park but take the risk.

Route #2

From Mabini, drive towards Luneta or Rizal Park and turn right onto T.M. Kalaw. Next intersection with traffic lights along Kalaw is Maria Orosa Street. Turn left on Maria Orosa. Stay to the right of Orosa Street and take the dedicated lane turning right onto Padre Burgos Street, the next main road. Cross Finance Road and follow directions given in Route #1.

Route #3

From Maria Orosa Street. Maria Orosa is one way road. All traffic goes towards Luneta. So, all you need to do is drive on Maria Orosa, staying to the middle, cross T.M. Kalaw Street and follow directions given in Route #2 and Route #1, respectively.

Route #4

From Taft Avenue. This route applies if you're coming from areas near DLSU, Quirino Avenue Taft, Pedro Gil Taft, PGH, etc. Drive on Taft, the road where LRT-1 passes through, all the way to Lawton, crossing Padre Faura, U.N. Avenue, T.M. Kalaw and Ayala Boulevard. After crossing Ayala Boulevard, Taft Avenue merges to Padre Burgos and LRT-1 elevated track goes to different direction to the right. Drive to Padre Burgos and follow direction given in Route #1.

How To Get To Quiapo Church By Walking And Commuting

Quiapo Church is officially known as Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene. It is located along Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo right before the foot of the Quezon Bridge going to Lawton. To its front is Plaza Miranda. If you're coming from Lawton, Taft, Ermita or Roxas Boulevard and you're going to Quiapo Church via Quezon Bridge, the church is to your left so you need to get down the pedestrian underpass to get to Quiapo Church after crossing Pasig River.

Walk To Quiapo Church

Here's a guide for Black Nazarene devotees that just arrived in Metro Manila who would come to Quiapo Church this week prior to the day of Feast of the Black Nazarene on January 9. If you plan to walk from a certain location up to the Quiapo Church, all you need to remember is stay to the main roads.

Coming from areas of Caloocan, get down the Monumento Circle or Andres Bonifacio Monument. From there go toward Rizal Avenue, the road under the track of LRT-1, and start your walk right there. Stay under the LRT-1 and walk your way up to Carriedo in Santa Cruz. Before you get to Carriedo you would have passed by 7 LRT Stations, namely, 5th Avenue, R. Papa, Jose Abad Santos, Blumentritt, Tayuman, Bambang and Doroteo Jose, in that order. After Doroteo Jose Station, you'll cross C.M. Recto Avenue and right up ahead is the Carriedo Station, between Plaza Fair and Isetann Department Stores. Turn left on Carriedo Street. Quiapo Church is to the end of the road, very visible from the corner of Carriedo and Avenida Avenue.

From Paranaque areas, start off from the southern tip of of the LRT-1 located in the junction in Baclaran where Redemptorist Road, Quirino Avenue and Taft Avenue meet. Take the direction toward north staying under the LRT-1 elevated track. Walk up to the foot of Quezon Bridge in Lawton. You would have to pass by 8 Stations of LRT-1 including the Central Terminal before you get to Quezon Bridge. These stations are EDSA, Libertad, Gil Puyat, Vito Cruz, Quirino, Pedro Gil, U.N. Avenue and Central Terminal Station, in that order. Cross Pasig River via Quezon Bridge as soon as you get to the foot of Quezon Bridge. Then cross Quezon Boulevard via Quiapo Underpass to get to Quiapo Church.

From Cubao, Santa Mesa and San Juan. You can walk up to the Quiapo Church from any points under the elevated track of LRT-2. Coming from Cubao, start off in EDSA corner Aurora Boulevard and walk undert LRT-2 all the way to the foot of the flyover at the end of Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard. At this point LRT-2 elevated track takes different course, so you need to go under the flyover toward the opposite street of Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard which is Legarda Street. Also at this point, you would have already passed by five stations of LRT-2, namely, Go-Belmonte, Gilmore, J. Ruiz, V. Mapa, and Pureza, in that order. Now, stay to Legarda until you get to the corner of C.M. Recto Avenue where the elevated LRT-2 track appears again above C.M. Recto. Follow the direction the LRT-2 takes until you reach Quezon Boulevard Underpass from which vehicles going to Quiapo from Quezon City pass through. Take the pedestrian underpass across Quezon Boulevard to get across Recto Avenue. You would see a big mall, Isetann, at the corner of C.M. Recto Avenue and Quezon Boulevard. From that corner, continue walking along Quezon Boulevard southward until you reach Quiapo Church standing magnificently along Quezon Boulevard right before Quezon Bridge.

Commute to Quiapo Church

Because of the heavy traffic along the way, the smart, easy and comfortable way to commute to Quiapo Church is by LRT or MRT or combination of the two plus some jeepney and bus rides. Here's what you do. From your location ride a jeepney or tricycle to the nearest MRT or LRT Station. If bus is applicable, then ride a bus and get off at a station of LRT or MRT. Car owners who live in Triangle areas in Quezon City, I let you on a secret. Drive your car from your home and park free in Centris Walk. Yes, you heard it right parking is free, at least as of now, inside the Centris Walk Complex. If you want to know how to get to Centris Walk, search "centris walk" in our Search Direction Box on the sidebar of this blog site. After you park your car, ride a bus bound to Monumento just along EDSA, a short walk from your car. Get off at Munoz, ride a train going to Baclaran and get off at Carriedo Station. Presto! Quiapo Church is right in front of you, just a few meters walk eastward. Believe me it's more convenient, fast, and economical.

Okay here are the guides from different stations of LRT and MRT to the location of Quiapo Church. From any station of LRT-2 anywhere from Santolan Station, get off at Recto Station, the last station of LRT-2. See, it's easy. Now, all you need to do is walk toward the corner of C.M. Recto and Quezon Boulevard, where the big Isetann Mall is located, and from there walk southward until you see the Quiapo Church.

From any station of MRT-3, get off at the last station which is Taft Station. Using the crossway that links MRT-3 to LRT-1, walk up to the EDSA Station of LRT-1 and ride a train north bound or Monumento/Roosevelt bound. Get off at Carriedo Station and you're right there, just a few meters walk eastward from majestic Quiapo Church.

Coming from south of Metro Manila e.g. Paranaque, Sucat, Alabang, Muntinlupa, etc. Just get to a station of LRT-1, ride a Monumento or Roosevelt bound train and get off at Carriedo Station. Same way for those coming from north of Metro Manila like Navotas, Malabon, Valenzuela, Caloocan, Novaliches and other nearby areas. All you need to do is ride a train, a Baclaran bound train, and get off at Carriedo Station. Walk eastward to get to the Quiapo Church.

Important Reminders

Take extra precaution while you're in Quiapo. There are lots of bad elements in the area in the forms of snatchers, robbers, holdapers, bag & pocket slashers and the like.

Don't bring big amount of money, expensive jewelries and latest models of gadgets e.g. celphones, ipod, psp, mini laptop, laptop, ipad, etc. either in a bag or worn while you're in the vicinity of Quiapo Church especially Carriedo Street and other roads in the environs of the church.

Don't carry your bag at your back. Always carry it by hand and in front of your body. And be suspicious of the people around you. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Believe me when I say I had had a bad experience while in the area. I was walking toward Carriedo Station. I was in a rush and carrying my satchel bag in such a way that the bag was hanging on my right hip with its strap strung diagonal from my left shoulder. When I got to the station I noticed my bag became light so I checked it. I was shocked to learn that the outside zipper was open and my psp was gone.

How To Get To Manila Cathedral

Manila Cathedral is one of major attractions in Intramuros along with Fort Santiago and the walls that surround this Spanish Colonial City. It was built in 1581 but underwent major rebuilding over the centuries. The Manila Cathedral we see today is the result of 4 year construction from 1954 to 1958. Manila Cathedral historical value in the present times is recently seen on August 3, 2009 when remains of our late President Corazon Aquino was transfered here from La Sale Greenhills for the funeral mass. Here are directions to Manila Cathedral from different parts of Metro Manila:

Route #1

From South of Metro Manila - Alabang, Paranaque, Taguig and Muntinlupa as well as Southern Tagalog. Take Skyway and Osmena Highway then turn left on Quirino Avenue. Go all the way to Roxas Blvd crossing Taft Avenue under the elevated track of LRT-1. Turn right onto Roxas Boulevard and stay to the middle crossing intersections of Pedro Gil, Padre Faura and U.N. Avenue. Turn right onto T.M. Kalaw Street and then turn left on Maria Orosa Street. Stay to the middle of Maria Orosa Street, you are now driving along Luneta Park. There's a junction up ahead but you must stay to the middle and go straight and cross Padre Burgos Street. Up ahead you must see the gate of Intramuros. Follow the route to the gate. You are now in General Luna Street inside Intramuros. Stay to the middle of this road and continue driving, up ahead is the Manila Cathedral, but before you get there you will pass by the equally historical San Agustin Church and cross five streets of Victoria, Santa Potencia, Real, Anda and Beaterio. Upon reaching Manila Cathedral, carefully make turns to park your car properly.

Route #2

Alternative route from South of Metro Manila and the route to take from Cavite. Take Coastal Road and head toward Manila via Roxas Blvd. Please don't make a detour on Disodado Macapagal during Christmas Season, traffic is heavy on CCP Complex. Stay to the middle of Roxas Boulevard passing over flyovers of EDSA and Gil Puyat Avenue and crossing intersections of P. Ocampo Street, Quirino Avenue, Pedro Gil Street, Faura and U.N. Avenue. Turn right onto T.M. Kalaw Street and then turn left on Maria Orosa Street. Stay to the middle of Maria Orosa Street, you are now driving along Luneta Park. From Quezon City take Quezon Avenue all the way to Espana then take Lerma onto Quiapo and cross Quezon Bridge. Immediately after crossing the Quezon Bridge turn right onto the first street at the foot of the bridge. This street is called Muelle del Rio. Follow this winding road. You get to drive along the edge of the Pasig River and pass under McArthur Bridge and Jones Bridge. Just stay to this road until you see Jollibee to your right. Next street is Andres Soriano Jr, the main thoroughfare that cut across Intramuros. Turn right onto Andres Soriano Jr. Here you get to see Chowking and Comelec to your right and up ahead to your left is the Manila Cathedral, standing magnificently amidst the greenery infront of it, and right before the Palacio del Governador Building. Make the right turn to park your car.

From Bulacan, Pampanga and Southern Luzon, take A. Bonifacio Avenue and Dimasalang Street to Quezon Avenue. On Quezon Avenue go straight up to Quiapo and cross Quezon Bridge. From Caloocan, Navotas, Malabon take Jose Abad Santos Avenue. Jose Abad Santos Avenue ends up in Recto. Cross Recto Avenue and Reina Regente begins. Drive on Reina Regente up to Plaza Lorenzo Ruiz. Turn right to go with the flow of one way traffic around Plaza Lorenzo Ruiz turning left on Juan Luna Street. Stay on Juan Luna crossing Dasmarinas Street. Follow where public jeepneys turn. Turn left on the next street after Dasmarinas. Turn right onto Jones bridge. After crossing the Jones Bridge, turn right onto the first street of Magallanes Drive, right after the National Press Club building. Follow this road until road name change to Andres Soriano Jr. Stay to this road and turn left until you see Jollibee. Turn right onto the next wide road - the main road of Andres Soriano Street. How to get to Manila Cathedral from LRT or MRT
